Amir Al Sham Restaurant and Grills in the Khalidiya area of Abu Dhabi. ADAFSA

A restaurant in Abu Dhabi was closed by the emirate's authority due to food safety violations. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) closed Amir Al Sham Restaurant and Grills, located in the Khalidiya area of Abu Dhabi after it was found to be violating Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food safety in the emirate and its related legislation. The restaurant reportedly received several warnings to address these violations, including an insect infestation but failed to take effective corrective actions. The restaurant will remain closed until the violations are corrected and all necessary safety requirements are met. This administrative action is part of ADAFSA's continuous efforts to impose food safety standards in Abu Dhabi. The authority regularly inspects food establishments to ensure they follow these standards. The public is encouraged to report any food safety issues by calling the toll-free number 800 555.
