Authorities in Abu Dhabi have ordered the closure of Hit Burger cafeteria on Al Reem Island after repeated health and safety violations. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) took the drastic step following several warnings and violations, deeming the establishment a high risk to public health. The decision to shut down the burger restaurant came after Adafsa’s inspection revealed multiple serious violations that could endanger consumer safety. Despite receiving warnings and being cited for prior violations, Hit Burger failed to take the necessary corrective actions, prompting the administrative closure. The food safety authority confirmed that the closure would remain in place until the restaurant addresses all the issues and complies with the required food safety standards. This action aligns with Adafsa's commitment to ensuring food safety in all food establishments across the emirate. Regular inspections are conducted to ensure that food outlets adhere to health regulations. This is not an isolated incident, as Abu Dhabi authorities have shut down other establishments in recent months for failing to comply with food safety laws. The authority has urged the public to report any violations by calling the hotline 800555 and stressed that public health remains a top priority. ICA/Expat Media
