The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has ordered the immediate closure of Freme Trading facility in Al Shahama, citing repeated food safety violations that pose a risk to public health. The facility was shut down after failing to comply with Abu Dhabi's Food Law and its related regulations in emirate. ADFCA officials said that the administrative closure was due to multiple high-risk violations, including insect infestations within the facility, poor hygiene and unsanitary storage conditions, as well as failure to take corrective actions despite previous warnings. Authorities had previously issued three violations against the facility and had already warned of potential closure if the violations were not addressed. The administrative closure will remain in effect until Freme Trading takes corrective measures to meet food safety standards. ADFCA has urged consumers to report any food safety violations or concerns about food products by calling Abu Dhabi’s toll-free hotline 800555.
