The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued an administrative closure order against Choice Restaurant on Al Falah Street, Abu Dhabi, following repeated food safety violations, including insect infestations in the kitchen. According to ADAFSA, the decision came after the facility failed to correct violations despite previous warnings and fines. The restaurant was cited for poor hygiene and missing nutritional labels on certain products. “The administrative closure decision was made after the facility's repeated failure to meet food safety requirements,” ADAFSA said in a statement. “It had already received two fines and a warning, yet continued operations without addressing the issues.” ADAFSA confirmed that the closure will remain in effect until the restaurant complies fully with health and safety regulations. The authority added that this measure is part of its ongoing inspection efforts to uphold food safety across the emirate. All food establishments, regardless of size or type, are subject to regular inspections.
