Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen airport reopens to welcome wide-body aircraft after major runway upgrades

After a major upgrade, Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi will reopen on Saturday (August 6). The expansion, specifically the widening of the runway, will enable the airport to accommodate bigger aircraft, according to a senior official at Abu Dhabi Airports Company on Wednesday (August 3). Other upgrades include a substantial new boundary wall, runway resurfacing, upgraded ground lighting, enhanced signage, and landscaping.
