Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi has been named the world's most beautiful airport at the prestigious Prix Versailles awards in Paris. The honor comes as the airport marks its first anniversary and coincides with the UAE’s 53rd National Day celebrations. Its distinctive X-shaped design integrates Emirati cultural elements with state-of-the-art technology, accommodating 11,000 passengers per hour and 79 aircraft simultaneously. Elena Sorlini, CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed pride: “This award reflects the UAE’s vision to redefine global aviation standards.” With plans to introduce nine biometric touchpoints by 2025, Zayed International Airport has also achieved accolades as the fastest-growing airport in the Middle East, serving over 21 million passengers within a year.
