The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the administrative closure of Cosmo Centre Trading in the Al Khalidiyah area of Abu Dhabi after repeated food safety violations were found during inspections. According to ADAFSA, the closure was carried out in accordance with Abu Dhabi's food law, after inspectors determined that the establishment posed a risk to public health. The outlet reportedly failed to implement corrective measures despite prior warnings. “The decision was made after the establishment repeatedly violated food safety standards and failed to take the necessary corrective actions,” ADAFSA said in a statement. “Immediate action was necessary to protect consumer health and ensure food safety.” The authority added that the closure will remain in effect until the violations are corrected and the business fully complies with food safety requirements. ADAFSA reiterated that its inspection campaigns are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s food safety system, ensuring that food served across the emirate meets strict hygiene and quality standards.
