Ajman just got tastier with the launch of a new Asian food hub by Agemono Express, fusing beloved flavors from the Philippines, Japan, China, and Thailand in one destination. Located inside Metro Manila Supermarket on Karama Street, the newly opened Asian Foodtrip Ajman is a culinary initiative by Agemono Express, a UAE-based restaurant chain known for Filipino-Japanese cuisine since 2005. “Our goal is to bring the best of Asian food under one roof — not just to satisfy cravings, but to celebrate culinary culture,” said owner Roberto Capulong, whose inspiring journey from waiter to restaurateur continues to motivate Filipino entrepreneurs. The Ajman food hub showcases several distinct food concepts: Thai Express for affordable and authentic Thai dishes; Malatang for a Chinese street-food experience where customers choose ingredients for a custom hot pot; and Agemono Café, which serves coffee, croffles, cakes, and signature buns. The recent launch was attended by Consul General Marford Angeles, Filipino community leaders in Ajman, members of the Philippine Business Council, and local influencers. It also coincided with Capulong’s birthday. The menu also champions Filipino-made products from fellow entrepreneurs under the Philippine Business Council, such as Bawangong, a plant-based bagoong; Sukarap for ready-to-eat Filipino dishes, and Affordacup Cheese Bread, a Filipino-style sweet and cheesy treat. “This is not just a business launch — this is a platform to support fellow Filipinos and introduce diverse Asian cuisine to a wider audience,” Capulong added.
