Airbus to hire 13,000 employees in 2023

Airbus is planning to hire 13,000 workers this year as the European plane maker continues its hiring spree, according to reports on Friday (January 27). Thierry Baril, Airbus chief human resources and workplace officer, said the move follows the “success of our recruitment last year.” The company hired 13,000 people last year “We call on talented individuals from all over the world to join us in our journey to make sustainable aerospace a reality and to help us build a better, more diverse, and inclusive workplace for all our employees,” Baril said on the latest hirings. According to Airbus, 9,000 of the new roles will be in Europe, while 7,000 will be newly created roles. Airbus is looking for new employees in customer service, software engineering, cybertechnology, digital transformation and decarbonization. The company will recruit young graduates as well as “evolve future senior functional and business leaders”. Airbus has more than 130,000 employees worldwide and was named the world’s biggest plane maker for the fourth consecutive year in 2022. ICA/Expat Media
