Ajman Police have announced the activation of a smart monitoring system that will detect mobile phone usage and seatbelt violations while driving, starting from October 1. The new system aims to enhance road safety by automatically identifying traffic violations and alerting authorities in real-time. The police urged drivers to adhere strictly to traffic laws, as the smart system is designed to minimize accidents caused by distracted driving and failure to use seatbelts. Violations will be recorded, and penalties will be issued based on the data collected. The system will also contribute to reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities by encouraging safer driving behavior among motorists.
