Ajman began a three-day mourning period on Thursday (February 27) following the death of Sheikh Saeed bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the brother of the ruler of Ajman. The Ajman Ruler’s Court announced the mourning period, expressing condolences to the ruling family. The Royal Court confirmed that Sheikh Saeed passed away on Wednesday (February 26). Funeral prayers were held on Thursday at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Al Jurf area following the noon prayer. In an official statement, the Ajman Ruler’s Court said, “With great sadness and sorrow, we mourn the passing of Sheikh Saeed bin Rashid Al Nuaimi. We pray to Allah to have mercy on him and grant him eternal peace.” Sheikh Saeed is the brother of Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. As part of the mourning period, flags in Ajman were lowered to half-mast, starting from Thursday. The mourning period will last for three days, during which government institutions will continue their operations while observing the state of mourning. Sheikh Saeed was a prominent figure in the Ajman royal family, known for his contributions to the community and dedication to public service. His passing marks a significant loss for the emirate.
