Captain Rashid Al Attar, Director of the Operations Branch at Ajman Police's Traffic and Patrols Department, stated that the Air Assistance Centre had deployed drones equipped with the latest smart technology to give air support to police teams since its start. Since its launch, the Drone Centre has carried out 20 security and air reconnaissance flights, as well as 299 traffic missions, for a total flight time of 13,598 minutes, providing air support for traffic and security patrols. "The Air Support Centre provides support through the implementation of exploration missions on the roads, to see the causes of traffic congestion." "In cases of congestion resulting due to accidents and if there is a difficulty in reaching the scene of the accident, a drone is sent to explore the accident and the seriousness of the cases," Al Attar explained. He stated that the drones are equipped with cutting-edge monitoring and control technologies and that they can photograph the details of the vehicle's license plate from a distance of 1,000 meters.
