The public budget for the government of Ajman, totaling Dh2.920 billion, was approved by Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the ruler of the emirate of Ajman. The budget represents a 21% increase over last year's budget, which was the largest in the emirate's history. The Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, emphasized that the new budget highlights the vision of the Ajman leadership and its determination to continue modernizing government operations to fulfill its aspirations to create a happy community and a sustainable and competitive economy. He continued, stating that the budget for this year emphasizes the desire to advance the emirate and its community, provide citizens and residents with the best services, draw in investors, and guarantee that the community leads respectable lives. To improve the emirate's security, environment, culture, and entertainment sectors, about 39% of the public budget has been set aside for roads, bridges, parks, and facilities. The remaining 40% has been set aside for economic matters, and the remaining 19% is used to support smart digital transformation. The biggest public budget in the emirate's history, the 2023 budget, will be a new turning point in its development, according to Sheikh Humaid's instructions, Sheikh Ammar said. The budget reflects the meticulous financial planning of various emirate departments, according to Sheikh Ahmed Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Representative of the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs. The 2023 budget is balanced and deficit-free, according to Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director-General of the Ajman Department of Finance. He also noted that the Ajman government's financial planning anticipates the need for Ajman's transition to sustainable development. He also emphasized the department's commitment to identifying financial risks and managing them wisely by emphasizing innovation and creative thinking under the highest international standards.
