A vigilant taxi driver in Ajman was honoured by police after he saved an elderly man from being run over in the Mushrif area. Shah Omar was recognized by Ajman Police for his “noble humanitarian act” and swift intervention, which prevented a potential tragedy on the road. The driver’s quick thinking and instinct to help ensured the man’s safety and earned praise from authorities. Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Mohammed Al Matrooshi, Head of the Traffic Engineering Section at Ajman Police, lauded the driver’s actions as a symbol of moral responsibility and community awareness. “Such positive behaviours enhance road safety and set a model for cooperation with community members,” Al Matrooshi said. “This recognition is part of Ajman Police’s commitment to strengthening community partnerships and appreciating individual efforts which contribute to saving lives and promoting public safety.” The ceremony took place as part of Ajman Police’s ongoing initiative to highlight the role of individuals in upholding public safety and creating a culture of shared responsibility on the road.
