The Al Ain Civil, Commercial and Administrative Cases Court has ordered a group of fraudsters to repay Dh35,000 to a man they deceived through fake currency exchange advertisements. The court also awarded the plaintiff an additional Dh4,000 in compensation. The defendants had posted fraudulent ads offering attractive exchange rates for UAE dirhams. After seizing the victim’s money, they refused to return it, despite already being convicted in a related criminal case. Court records show that the defendants failed to appear or present any evidence, while the plaintiff successfully argued that their deception caused him financial loss and psychological distress. The ruling obligates the fraudsters to repay the stolen sum along with compensation, court fees, and expenses. ICA/Expat Media
