During the fireworks show in Al Ain on December 2, 2024.
Al Ain lit up the skies and the record books with the longest chain of fireworks during the UAE's 53rd National Day celebrations. The spectacular show, organized by Al Ain City Municipality, covered a distance of 11.1 kilometers and dazzled spectators on December 2. The breathtaking display took 50 seconds to unfold, with fireworks launched from 51 platforms across the city. This remarkable feat earned Al Ain a Guinness World Record, reflecting the UAE's penchant for extraordinary celebrations. “This achievement is a proud moment for Al Ain and the entire UAE,” a municipal representative said. The display symbolized the unity and progressive spirit of the Emirates as residents and visitors gathered to celebrate the country’s founding. This isn’t the first time Al Ain has made headlines in 2024. Earlier in the year, the city set another Guinness record with the world’s largest bouquet of flowers. The fireworks display was part of a series of events marking UAE National Day, which included traditional Emirati performances, parades, and cultural exhibitions across the emirates. Residents expressed awe at the display. “It was a night to remember. The fireworks lit up the sky like a canvas,” said Ahmed Khalil, a long-time Al Ain resident. The UAE’s National Day celebrations underscore the country’s dedication to creating unforgettable experiences while showcasing its achievements on a global stage.
