Al Ain has added a striking new landmark to its cityscape with the unveiling of a Clock Tower at Al Ain City Centre, featuring a giant timepiece by Swiss luxury watchmaker Omega. The installation is the result of a collaboration between Omega and Al Ain Municipality, bringing together world-class Swiss craftsmanship and the cultural heritage of the Garden City. Designed to be both a visual centerpiece and a community symbol, the Clock Tower reflects the values of precision, longevity, and timeless style. The project holds special significance for the UAE. The Clock Tower concept was first unveiled in Dubai on December 2, in celebration of the UAE’s 54th National Day, highlighting the longstanding relationship between Omega and the nation. The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father, was known to admire Omega timepieces — a connection that adds deeper meaning to the installation. Inspired by Omega’s iconic Constellation collection, the Clock Tower blends contemporary Swiss design with architectural elements that resonate with Al Ain’s identity. Its refined detailing and commanding structure make it a standout feature at Al Ain City Centre, while also serving as a meeting point and visual marker for residents and visitors alike. For Al Ain Municipality, the project aligns with its vision of enhancing public spaces through meaningful and culturally relevant developments.
