Senior citizens and residents in the UAE now have more reason to visit Al Ain Zoo, as the attraction has announced free entry for all residents aged 60 and above. The initiative, which aligns with the UAE’s "Year of the Community," aims to foster social inclusion and promote the well-being of elderly citizens by giving them access to the zoo’s diverse wildlife and recreational spaces. Previously, the free admission policy only applied to those aged 70 and above. However, recognizing the importance of accessibility, Al Ain Zoo has lowered the age threshold to ensure more seniors can enjoy the experience. "By making our attractions more accessible, we are reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity and community engagement," a zoo spokesperson said. Residents aged 60 and above need only present their Emirates ID at the entrance to avail of the free entry. The zoo, which is home to more than 4,000 animals, offers wide pathways, open spaces, and transport vehicles designed to accommodate elderly visitors. Additionally, wheelchairs are available upon request at the Visitor Happiness Office. Visitors can also participate in guided tours, enjoy shaded picnic areas, and explore various exhibits showcasing conservation efforts.  ICA/Expat Media
