Al Futtaim IKEA is set to host a Filipino Masquerade Festival at its UAE stores from October 23 to 27, offering a colorful and exciting cultural celebration for visitors. The event is inspired by the Masskara Festival of Bacolod City in the Philippines, which is renowned for its vibrant masks, elaborate costumes, and lively atmosphere, symbolizing resilience and joy. During the five-day festival, visitors will be treated to a Filipino-style menu featuring traditional dishes such as Bistek Tagalog, Chicken Sotanghon Soup, Filipino Pasta Salad, BBQ Chicken, Chicken Menudo and Beef Pares, as well as Leche Flan and Buko Panda for dessert. Alongside the delicious food, families can participate in various activities, including piñata breaking, mask decorating, and face painting. "The Masquerade Festival is an iconic celebration of Filipino culture, and we are excited to bring that same spirit to our stores in the UAE," said an IKEA spokesperson. Shoppers can also win prizes through interactive games like spinning the wheel, making the event a fun and engaging experience for all ages. The festival provides a unique opportunity for the Filipino community and other nationalities to come together and enjoy a taste of the Philippines.
