Al Khail Metro Station in Dubai will officially be renamed Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station starting in April, following an agreement between the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the financial services provider. Under the agreement, Al Fardan Exchange secured exclusive brand representation at the station, including signage, onboard audio announcements, and updates across the RTA’s public transport apps. Station updates are expected to be completed by June, with the transition to take place over three months, during which external and indoor directional signs, digital systems, and metro announcements will be updated with the new name. Al Khail Metro Station is located on the Dubai Metro Red Line, between interchanges 4 and 5 along Sheikh Zayed Road. Abdul Muhsen Kalbat, CEO of the RTA’s Rail Agency, described the deal as a “pivotal and dynamic step toward establishing a long-term, mutually beneficial economic partnership” between the public and private sectors.

Metro station naming rights explained

The renaming of Dubai Metro stations is part of RTA’s Metro Naming Rights Initiative, launched in 2008, which allows companies to purchase naming rights for up to 10 years.
