Dubai’s Al Mamzar Beach is set for a significant transformation with the completion of a Dh400 million redevelopment project by the end of 2025. The initiative, launched under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to create a modern, sustainable beachfront destination. Spanning 125,000 square meters, the project includes a dedicated women’s beach with night swimming facilities, children’s play areas, and a sports club. Paths for running, walking, and cycling will link Al Mamzar Creek Beach and Al Mamzar Park, enhancing accessibility. A 5,000-square-meter area for seasonal events and a 2,000-square-meter skateboarding zone are also planned, alongside new waterfront restaurants, lounges, and food outlets. Phase one, which began in June 2023, is already 45 percent complete. It features a pedestrian pontoon bridge, night swimming areas, and AI-supported surveillance systems. The beach will offer 1,400 parking spaces, eight toilet blocks with changing facilities, and advanced drowning rescue technologies, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors. “The redevelopment aligns with our vision to position Dubai as a leading global destination for sustainable and innovative tourism,” said Ahmed Al Anwahi, Director of the Public Beaches Department.
