The scenic Al Qudra Lakes, famous for its heart-shaped Love Lakes, is set to become a prime tourist attraction as part of a master plan recently approved by Dubai's Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This expansive development initiative, which aims to enhance Dubai's rural and countryside areas, will include various luxury amenities and entertainment options. The project is part of a broader development strategy that includes 37 projects and initiatives with a total investment of Dh390 million. Five recreational and service stations will be created in collaboration with the private sector, providing tourists and residents with a unique experience in the region’s natural settings. Al Qudra's Main Hub Station will feature a traditional market selling local products and an open-air cinema offering movie screenings in a desert environment near the Last Exit. Visitors will also have the option to stay in luxury marquees, offering a glamping experience near Al Qudra Lakes. Public facilities will be expanded to accommodate the increasing number of tourists, ensuring comfort and convenience. Other attractions include a Wildlife Station near Flamingo Lake, where visitors can embark on hot air balloon rides to witness the area's wildlife and enjoy aerial views of the Love Lakes. Elevated walking trails will connect the area’s three lakes, and kayak tours will be available across the lakes, providing an immersive nature experience. Expo 2020 Lake will house an Adventure Station with a new adventure park, fitness trails, and cycling paths. Additionally, the Cultural Experience Station in Al Marmoom will introduce camel rides, traditional meals, and cultural performances to showcase Dubai’s rich heritage. The Crown Prince's vision for these projects is to transform Dubai’s countryside into a major global tourist destination while preserving its natural beauty and heritage. ICA/Expat Media
