Amal gave birth to Ella and Alexander on Monday at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London

  LONDON - Amal Clooney, wife of actor George Clooney, has given birth to twins – a girl and a boy – last Monday. In a statement sent to CNN, the couple said: "This morning, Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine." Amal gave birth at the exclusive Kensington wing of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. Amal and George married in 2014 in Venice, Italy. Amal's parent told Agence France Presse welcomed the birth of their grandchildren. Ramzi Alamuddin, father of Amal, said in an interview in Beirut: "They are in great health, all is perfect. I am very happy for them, they will be great parents." Amal's mother, Baria, was in the hospital when Amal gave birth and said: "We are over the moon. It was a beautiful delivery. The babies are beautiful and are doing well."
