Emirati entrepreneur and influencer Anas Bukhash has gone viral on social media after sharing his gratitude to Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence and bystanders when his vehicle unexpectedly caught fire. Bukhash, best known as the host of the popular podcast AB Talks, posted about the incident involving his vehicle, a GLS Maybach. By Tuesday (September 2), his Instagram post had amassed more than 850,000 reactions and thousands of supportive comments. In his candid account, Bukhash said he debated whether to share the incident but felt compelled to show that life is not only about highlights. “I considered whether I should post this or not. And thought, why not, I should. Our social media shouldn’t only be about the good moments, but also the not so good, the bad, sometimes the ugly; just LIFE,” he wrote. Bukhash recalled that he and his team had just wrapped up an AB Talks shoot when he heard someone shout that a car was on fire. “The strange thing is I had a feeling it was mine before even going to look. I walk calmly to see, and it was,” he said. Reflecting on what could have been a tragic situation, he added: “If the shoot didn’t have a technical issue that delayed us, we would have been in the car. With this delay, a few minutes later, we would have been in the car. How fortunate we were that it happened (where and when) it happened.” He also praised nearby workers who acted quickly with fire extinguishers. “There were labourers working right next door and they had fire extinguishers and we needed a bunch of them,” he said, noting how crucial their help was before authorities arrived. Bukhash expressed his heartfelt gratitude: “Thankfully, we are all safe and blessed. Thanks for all the messages I’ve received, and apologies to anyone who I didn’t respond to. Thank you to my team and the labourers. And a special thanks to @dubaipolicehq and @dcd997.” He ended with an important reminder for motorists: “Please double check on all your car engines. I have no idea how my parked car just randomly caught fire. I would have never expected this to happen.
