April Fool’s Day pranks in UAE can land you in jail

  DUBAI – The UAE Public Prosecution made a fresh warning on Thursday (April 1) against playing pranks and spreading rumours on April Fool’s Day. According to the authority, pranks or rumours that negatively affect society and disturb public security are crimes punishable with at least one year in jail. Punishment also applies to anyone who broadcasts false or malicious information that harms public interest in any way.
