A 27-year-old Arab woman died after being struck by a speeding vehicle while crossing the road in Sharjah. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday (January 14), has led to the arrest of the female motorist responsible for the accident. Sharjah Police reported that their Control and Command Room received an emergency call about the accident. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries en route. Authorities identified the driver as a woman who was reportedly driving at high speed. Investigators from Al Gharb Police Station are now working to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether negligence or traffic violations were involved. The identity of the victim and the driver has not been disclosed as investigations are ongoing.
