An Asian woman has been jailed in Dubai for attempted murder after she stabbed her ex-lover’s wife. The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced her to two years in jail. She will be deported after serving her jail term. The court also ordered the transfer of a civil case against her. The nationality and identities of the woman and the parties involved have been withheld for legal purposes. The case dates back to October 2022 when the woman visited the home of her ex-lover in the Al Qusais area to talk about their affair of more than 15 years. Court records also revealed she is a relative of her ex-lover. On the day of the incident, the man told her she was not welcome, but the woman headed to the man’s home where she spoke with his wife before stabbing the latter twice with a knife. The victim said she refused to talk to the woman about her affair with her husband, so the latter embraced her then took out a knife from her bag and stabbed her in front of her husband and daughter.
