A high school ace student got the received the biggest congratulations from no less than Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed congratulated star student Yasmine Mahmoud Abdullah in a phone call on Sunday. Sheikh Mohammed began the call by asking, “Are you Yasmine Abdullah? I am Mohammed bin Rashid. How are you?” “I am good,” she replied. “How is the family?” Sheikh Mohammed asked. “They are good, too,” Abdullah replied. Sheikh Mohammed then went on to praise the high school graduate. “We want to congratulate you my daughter for getting the first-place nationwide,” Sheikh Mohammed said, “Where do you want to finish your studies?” She replied that she has sent her application to Khalifa University, American University in Sharjah, and the American University in Dubai. “We wish you all the best and send my warm regards to your family,” Sheikh Mohammed said. The Dubai ruler also congratulated all graduates and their parents. “We congratulate all the graduates and we congratulate all the fathers and mothers and we congratulate the homeland for this batch of sons and daughters. We pray to God to grant success to all and to protect our sons and our daughters for their homeland and their homeland is preserved for them,” Sheikh Mohammed said. The Dubai ruler also thanked all the teachers "for their dedication during the school year, and we are optimistic about a better and more beautiful academic year ahead, God willing." ICA/Expat Media
