Your newborn's documents can now be availed for Dh243

Parents in UAE can now avail of official documents for their newborns through a new digital platform. Mabrouk Ma Yak is a platform that provides services of issuance of birth certificate, passport, and Emirates ID, adding the baby to the family book, registering the newborn in the population registry, and getting Thiqa or insurance. The father of the newborn should be pre-registered in the digital platform and verify that he holds UAE citizenship and his wife added to the family book before requesting a service. The father should also apply for the service within three months from the date of the baby’s birth. The baby can only be eligible for the service if it was born in one of the 90 hospitals in the UAE that officially provide the Mabrouk Ma Yak service. The couple should provide the documents of valid Emirates ID of both parents, the family book, and a marriage certificate if the baby is a firstborn. Here are the steps in availing the Mabrouk Ma Yak service
  1. Inform the hospital that you would like to avail the Mabrouk Ma Yak service.
  2. Wait for an SMS that will contain the link of completing your request online.
  3. Log in to the Mabrouk Ma Yak Service portal
  4. Fill in the newborn baby's name and upload his/her photo
  5. Pay the service fee of Dh243
  6. Wait for the SMS that will inform you to visit the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs.
  7. Bring the original family book when visiting the authority office.
  8. Receive all identification documents of the newborn.
