Baby found abandoned in stroller outside UAE office    SHARJAH – A newborn girl was found abandoned in a stroller outside a Sharjah government office, according to reports on Monday. Police are currently trying to trace the baby’s parents. A surveillance video footage showed a woman leaving the baby in a stroller outside the gate of the Sharjah Child Protection Department on Wednesday afternoon. The woman then rushed to her car and drove away. She did not appear to have anyone with her at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, police described the baby as having Arab features. Staff of the Sharjah Child Protection Department were the first to spot her. The baby still had her umbilical cord attached when she was found. The baby was transferred to the Al Qasimi Hospital where officials said she appeared in good health. The baby is now in the custody of the child protection committee in Sharjah.
