The Dubai Coffee Festival at Dubai Festival City.

Dubai's coffee lovers are in for a treat as the inaugural Dubai Coffee Festival takes over Dubai Festival City, with the city's top baristas to battle it out for the ultimate brewing title. The highly anticipated event, which runs from 5pm to 10pm until October 20, brings together coffee enthusiasts, baristas, and vendors for a celebration of all things coffee. One of the main highlights of the festival is the Coffee Desk Fellow Championship on October 18, where the city's top baristas will compete for a grand prize of Dh10,000 and a Dh3,000 Al-Futtaim gift card. The championship will see baristas showcase their skills in brewing, latte art, and more. The competition is expected to draw a large crowd as coffee aficionados cheer on their favorite contenders. "It's exciting to see the level of talent here in Dubai’s coffee scene. This competition will definitely raise the bar," said one of the event’s organizers. In addition to the championship, the festival offers a variety of interactive workshops and entertainment, making it an event for all ages. Daily workshops will cover topics such as Arabic coffee, Jabana coffee, and coffee-inspired arts and crafts, including coffee painting, DIY coffee jewelry, and coffee-scented candle making. Visitors can also participate in an interactive game projected onto one of Festival City’s skyscrapers for a chance to win Blue Rewards points. Every day, ten winners will walk away with 10,000 points, worth Dh100 each. Coffee-inspired artwork and photography are on display at the Artist’s Corner, and those interested in coffee’s rich history can visit the Dubai Coffee Museum exhibit. The festival is free to attend and promises to be a memorable experience for families, coffee connoisseurs, and casual visitors alike. ICA/Expat Media
