Battle of best Filipino bands in UAE

DUBAI - Filipino musicians in the UAE are urged to join Bandigmaan battle of the bands on Friday (April 26) at Tantra Club in Fortune Karama Hotel. The competition is a prelude to the 121st Philippine Independence Day, which will be held in Dubai on June 14. In Bandigmaaan, Filipino bands of different genres will battle under the theme "Musika para sa Kalayaan" (Music for Freedom). Contestants will be judged on originality, musicality and overall impact. “I’m so certain that all of us in the music scene would unite to agree that we are voice to the voiceless, ears to the deaf and healing to the broke. We’re so humbled that we are able to tell stories of us as Filipinos of today, yesterday, and the fighters of the future through our masterpieces,” said Jon Cruz of Aswang de Makina band.
