A sea of fans filled Global Village on Saturday night (February 7) as Filipino indie-folk sensation Ben&Ben took over the main stage for one of the venue’s biggest live concerts. The internationally celebrated band began their performance at 9pm, drawing thousands of concertgoers eager to hear their emotionally charged songs. Representatives from Global Village told Expat Media it was one of the most attended live concerts held at the venue. This marked Ben&Ben’s fourth performance in Dubai, reflecting their strong and growing fanbase in the UAE. The band affectionately calls their supporters “Liwanag,” which means light in Filipino, and that light was clearly visible throughout the evening as fans waved phones and sang along. Known for heartfelt lyrics and melodic storytelling, Ben&Ben delivered crowd favourites such as Kathang Isip and Leaves with warmth and sincerity. Their music, which blends indie-folk, pop and orchestral elements, has earned them a loyal following not only in the Philippines but also among overseas Filipinos around the world. Global Village once again proved to be a prime entertainment hotspot in Dubai. Visitors enjoyed the park’s international pavilions, street food and attractions before heading to the concert area for the main event. The festive atmosphere added to the excitement, making the night feel like a celebration of music and community.
