Employers now more confident of doing business due to economic stabilization, says jobs company

  DUBAI – The job hiring and tracking firm Monster.com has projected that 2017 will have more hiring opportunities for jobseekers in the UAE as businesses look more confident and market conditions have stabilized. "It appears that UAE businesses are taking a cautious approach to growing their workforce, however, this is likely to change in 2017 as confidence is restored with more stable market conditions," said Sanjay Modi, managing director at Monster.com, Asia Pacific and Middle East. Monster.com also said more workers are expected to move to other jobs, leaving behind vacancies that firms need to fill. The company also said employers are planning to expand their workforce this year. "The movement of employees and employee talent gaps will create more opportunities but higher competition for jobseekers, making it important for (candidates) to find ways to stand out," said Modi. According to Monster.com, 55 percent of workers in the UAE that they polled with regard their current job and plans said they will be moving employers this year.
