Big Ticket: 3 Indian expats walk away with Dh100,000 each, shares prize money with friends

ABDUL BURHAN PUTHIYA, SECOND 100K WINNER The second AED100,000 winner is Abdul Burhan Puthiya, an Indian national in Abu Dhabi for the past ten years. Abdul Burhan has been pooling money with 13 friends to buy Big Ticket raffle tickets every month for the past eight years. The lucky winner of the cash prize, who took advantage of Big Ticket’s “buy two, get one free offer” to make his purchase online, will be saving his portion of the amount for his future. ROBIN KADYAN, THIRD 100K WINNER Currently employed as a salesman, Robin moved to the UAE in 2001 and has been buying Big Tickets for the past couple of years with his family. After years of trying his luck, Robin finally received the winning phone call on January 3. Overjoyed, he told Big Ticket’s representatives that he hadn’t expected to win and plans to invest his winnings in a charity where his wife works. Robin says he will continue to purchase Big Tickets until the day he receives the phone call that he has won the grand prize. Throughout January, Big Ticket will give its customers more opportunities to win guaranteed cash prizes. In addition to the Dh23 million grand prizes, a second prize of Dh1 million is up for grabs, a third prize of Dh100,000, and a fourth prize of Dh50,000.
