Big Ticket Abu Dhabi: Filipino wins Dh1 million

A French national in Dubai won the Dh20 million grand prize in Big Ticket Abu Dhabi this month, organisers said on Sunday (September 4). It was the first time that the grand prize was won by a French national. The Big Ticket draw was held on Saturday (September 3). Celine Jassin, a French national of Syrian descent, said she couldn’t believe it at first that she won Dh20 million. “Is this real?!” she mustered as Big Ticket called her to tell her about her good luck. It was only her second time to buy Big Ticket. She will be splitting her winnings with a friend who pitched in to buy the winning ticket. Jassin is a manager for a building materials company in Dubai where she has lived since 1998. When asked how she planned to share her cash prize, Jassin said she hasn’t decided yet, but will give it a careful thought.
