A school bus driver in Abu Dhabi has won Dh100,000 in Big Ticket’s weekly e-draw, in the second time that he has won the raffle, according to Big Ticket on Friday (September 22). Riyas Parambathkandy, 45, first won Dh40,000 in Big Ticket in 2012. The expat from Kerala in India has been buying Big Ticket with 15 of his friends since 2008. Parambathkandy was ecstatic that he won again and got a much bigger cash prize this time. “I am so happy about my win. I knew that I would win again,” he said. When Big Ticket representatives called him to inform him about his win, he missed the call because he was at work. However, his friend checked the Big Ticket website and found out that Parambathkandy won. “I was very happy, and I called my wife and kids, and they were all happy,” said Parambathkandy, whose children are aged 7, 9 and 11. When asked about his plans, the lucky winner said, “I will share the prize with my friends, and with my cash portion, I will bring my wife and kids to Abu Dhabi for a two-month vacation. We will continue buying Big Ticket, and I am sure that one day we will win the grand prize.’’ ICA/Expat Media
