Four expatriates from India and Bangladesh are celebrating a life-changing windfall after winning a total of Dh295,000 in Big Ticket’s latest draw.
The winners, who hail from diverse professional backgrounds, shared their inspiring stories of persistence and hope. Abdul Nazer, a 49-year-old gold shop employee from Kerala, India, walked away with Dh100,000. A resident of Dubai since 2012, Nazer has been participating in Big Ticket draws for three years with a group of 20 friends. "When I received the winning call, I was overwhelmed with happiness—it was an unforgettable moment," he shared. The prize will be shared among his friends, and Nazer plans to save the remainder for his wife. Despite his big win, he remains committed to continuing his participation in the draw. Akash Raj, a 30-year-old insurance underwriter also from Kerala, won Dh70,000. A Dubai resident for seven years, Raj admitted he initially thought the call was a scam. "I waited for the confirmation email to be sure. Now, I couldn’t be happier!" he said. Raj plans to divide the prize among his group of 10 friends, encouraging others to keep participating. Mohammed Haneff, a 59-year-old car showroom owner from Bangalore, India, was elated to win Dh75,000. Having lived in Dubai for 15 years, Haneff has been purchasing Big Ticket entries consistently since 2021. "It was a moment I had been hoping for—truly an incredible experience," he said. The fourth winner, MD Mehedi from Bangladesh, won Dh50,000. Mehedi purchased his ticket in November and described his excitement as boundless. "I couldn’t believe it! This is a dream come true," he said. ICA/Expat MediaFor all the latest news from the UAE and the world, follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube page
