The Blackman family has denied allegations that the recent separation of Jeraldine and Joshua was a publicity stunt. The controversy erupted after a social media user, who claimed to be their neighbor, alleged that the couple's split was staged to generate online attention. The claim quickly gained traction after screenshots were shared by the Facebook page "Truth Slaps," amassing over 21,000 shares and nearly 4,000 comments. The neighbor asserted that Joshua was merely relocating, saying, “Kapitbahay ko siya. Sinabi niya sa akin, ‘Pag tahimik ang social media, kailangan mag-ingay. Separate lang sila ng titirahan kasi tityra si Josh sa ibang lugar na.” (He's my neighbor. He told me, 'When social media is quiet, you need to make noise.' They're just living separately because Josh will stay somewhere else.) The original post has since been deleted. On Sunday (February 23), the Blackman family responded to the post to dismiss the allegations. “Don’t believe anything you hear from any other source. We would never disrespect our fans like this. We only want to be open and honest about our relationship because we felt our fans deserved to know,” they said in the comments. The couple, known for their wholesome family content, amassed a following of 5.5 million on Facebook by sharing their life as a Filipino-Australian household. Fans have followed their journey from Australia to the Philippines, watching their children, Jette and Nimo, grow up in the spotlight. However, the public image of their happy family was shattered when Jeraldine made an emotional announcement on February 21, confirming their separation. “Josh and I have separated. We’re good friends,” she said tearfully. “I just know that he is a good person and he is the best father that Jette and Nimo could ever have.” Some fans were supportive, while others criticized the couple for sharing intimate family matters online.
