One of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks will light up the night sky as a free fireworks display takes place at the Burj Al Arab on Wednesday (February 4). The show is scheduled for 9pm and will mark the grand finale of UAE-Kuwait Week celebrations across the emirates. The fireworks will be visible from surrounding public areas. There will be no ticketed event at the Burj Al Arab itself, making the display free for residents and visitors to enjoy. The sail-shaped luxury hotel has long been one of Dubai’s most popular backdrops for fireworks shows, drawing crowds during national celebrations and major events. The week-long UAE-Kuwait celebrations have featured a wide range of activities highlighting the close ties between the two countries. Fireworks were also held at Dubai Festival City Mall last Thursday, while Global Village hosted a Kuwait-themed show during its regular fireworks slot. Families have enjoyed cultural workshops inspired by Kuwaiti heritage, art activities for children, classic Kuwaiti film screenings and a Kuwaiti food festival. Special activities were also organised in malls and tourist attractions across the city. At Dubai International Airport, GDRFA-Dubai welcomed Kuwaiti visitors with a special commemorative stamp upon arrival, adding a symbolic touch to the celebrations.
