Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world, will light up in the colours of the Philippine flag on Wednesday (June 12) to mark the 126th Philippine Independence Day. The Philippine flag will flash on the iconic tower’s façade at 7:50pm. Every year since 2019, the Burj Khalifa has been marking Philippine Independence Day with a display of the Philippine flag on its façade as a landmark salute to Filipinos in the UAE and around the world. Filipinos make up one of the biggest expatriate communities in the UAE, with an estimated one million registered Filipinos in the country. ICA/Expat Media
