In a dazzling display for Diwali, the Burj Khalifa illuminated the Dubai skyline with a vibrant LED show on Thursday evening (October 31), marking the main day of this year’s Festival of Lights. The celebration welcomed thousands of residents and visitors who gathered to witness the spectacular event at the world’s tallest tower, which has become a key landmark for cultural celebrations in Dubai. Diwali festivities in Dubai have been in full swing since October 29, starting with Dhanteras and culminating in the main Diwali celebration on October 31. On November 1 and 2, the festivities will continue at Global Village, which has organized a series of events for visitors to enjoy the spirit of Diwali with fireworks, live performances, and a dedicated Diwali market. Global Village’s Diwali market offers a variety of traditional items, including handicrafts, jewelry, and clothing, allowing visitors to experience the festival’s rich heritage and take home memorable keepsakes. "Global Village has curated an exceptional experience to bring together people from all backgrounds to celebrate Diwali," a representative said. Visitors can also experience authentic Indian cuisine, Rangoli art, and traditional cultural performances. These activities, along with evening fireworks, create a family-friendly atmosphere that celebrates the festival’s message of light, joy, and unity. The Dubai skyline has been decorated with colorful lights, transforming the city into a symbol of celebration and togetherness for the duration of Diwali. The Burj Khalifa LED show stands as the highlight of the celebration, drawing audiences from across the UAE and beyond. ICA/Expat Media
