  DUBAI – If you've seen one of these self-service machines in parts of Dubai, you're in for a good surprise. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently installed 20 of these machines in its headquarters and customer care centres to help customers quickly complete transactions.

What can you do with these machines?

You can make debit or credit card payment for various RTA-related services, particularly those related to driving and vehicle licences parking cards and certificates. Ahmad Mahboub, Executive Director of Customers Service at RTA, said you can also key in your bank account to pay for RTA services. The self-service machines operate in four languages: Arabic, English, Urdu and Malayalam. The machines also have a scanner that you can use to send a copy of required documents to the service centre to complete transactions, if necessary. You can also print vehicle registration cards. Just use the electronic signature feature, finger print and ID card reader and scanner to process your transaction. “These machines have advanced electronic security features, and enable customers to receive the receipts of their transactions and payment via email, said Mahboub.
