Car accident-prone hours, days in UAE revealed

  DUBAI – A new study of UAE car accidents in the UAE has revealed the hours and days when car crashes commonly happen. If you think the morning rush hour is the likeliest time that car accidents happen in the UAE, it actually isn’t. A study by Oman Insurance revealed that car accidents in the UAE commonly happen between 1pm and 5pm. The study is based on two years of insurance claim data on car crashes in the UAE. According to the study, motorists increased their risk of being involved in a car crash by 20 percent in the afternoon. When is the safest time to drive in the UAE? The study says it is between 1am and 5am due to limited traffic on the roads.

Accident-prone days in UAE

Sundays and Thursday are also accident-prone days, with Oman Insurance recording the highest number of claims on these days. On Fridays, most car accidents happen between 7pm and 9pm. ICA/Expat Media
