Mark Andrew Yulo, father of Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, reshared a post that shows screenshots of messages that allegedly reveal the "disrespect" shown by the gymnast's girlfriend, content creator Chloe San Jose, towards Carlos' mother, Angelica Yulo. The athlete's father reshared a Facebook update from Gerald Fajardo, a family friend who seems to be familiar with their family matters. Fajardo's post includes a collection of screenshots from what appears to be a group chat involving Chloe San Jose, her family, and Angelica Yulo. In the screenshots, Chloe San Jose is seen calling Angelica Yulo a "coward" for allegedly making negative comments about her on social media but not responding when confronted. One screenshot also showed the content creator comparing the athlete's mother to a cute fish when she is at church and a shark when she is at home. Furthermore, one of the screenshots shows San Jose and Carlos hinting at someone being a "thief" and a "liar" in a Facebook post. Fajardo also accused San Jose of manipulating Carlos by fueling his anger, supposedly to keep him all to herself. In another Facebook post, San Jose responded to Fajardo’s claims, emphasising that she was simply standing up for herself and the Olympic gold medalist. She also shared a series of screenshots in the post that seem to show Angelica making indirect references to her and her "revealing" photos in several Facebook posts. Some of the screenshots also show Carlos’ siblings making remarks about an "independent woman" who pretends to be "unbothered" but allegedly can't rent a place on her own and relies on free airplane tickets to travel. Carlos’ relatives seem to share the same views as his immediate family, with some even suggesting that the Olympic gold medalist “does not deserve” the victories he achieved in his competitions. “If you’re gonna get mad at me for standing up for myself, stay mad. If you’re gonna get mad at me for breaking generational curse, stay mad. If you’re gonna get mad at me because I reacted to their disrespect and told the truth, stay mad. If you’re gonna get mad at me for standing up for my partner against their toxicity, then stay mad,” San Jose said in the caption. “I’m not here to please anyone. I know what I did and didn’t,” she added. “Feel free to keep believing whatever you see and read online, it doesn’t matter—I know my truth and so does the people around me, most especially mahal Carlos.” Carlos, who had earlier traveled to Paris with San Jose, has not yet commented on the situation.
