The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, has released commemorative silver 20-dirham coins to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Council’s establishment. This special issuance recognizes the Council's contributions to the UAE's social and family welfare. Only 500 coins have been minted. The silver coins, weighing 40 grams each, bear the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood’s name and logo on one side, while the reverse side features the denomination of "20 dirhams" alongside the Central Bank’s name in Arabic and English. These limited-edition coins will not be available for sale at CBUAE branches, as they have been reserved for the Council. Reem bint Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council, praised the collaboration with the CBUAE, stating, “These coins symbolize the Council’s achievements in supporting mothers and children and highlight our ongoing mission to enhance their well-being.” Saif Al Dhaheri, Assistant Governor for Banking Operations at the CBUAE, commented, “We are proud to issue this coin in honor of the Council’s 20 years of service to the UAE community.” The CBUAE has encouraged the public to view this issuance as a tribute to the continuous work that has shaped the Council’s two-decade-long history.
