Wet spell in UAE to end on Thursday

  DUBAI – Rain clouds and strong winds will blow sand in parts of the UAE on Wednesday, causing poor visibility at less than 1,500 metres over some areas, especially eastwards, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology forecast. “The amounts of cloud will increase over eastern areas may associate with some rainfall,” the NCMS said in an advisory. On Tuesday evening, rain fell on Sharjah, Fujairah and parts of Al Ain, while a sandstorm hit parts of Sharjah and Ajman following a wet spell in the eastern part of the country. Chances of rain still persist in the eastern and northern parts of the country due to a low pressure, forecasters said. On Wednesday, humidity levels are forecast to peak at 90 percent in internal areas, with temperatures hitting a maximum of 39 degrees Celcius. A dry weather is forecast of Thursday and Friday, with the temperature becoming relatively hot over internal areas and mildly hot over coastal areas.
