The annual "Clean UAE" campaign is set to return this December, with registration now open for volunteers across the seven emirates. Organized by Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) and supported by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the initiative aims to engage the community in preserving the UAE's natural beauty through a series of cleanup drives. The cleanup will kick off in Ajman on December 5 and continue in Dubai on December 7, Abu Dhabi on December 9, Sharjah on December 10, Fujairah on December 11, Ras Al Khaimah on December 12, and Umm Al Quwain on December 14. To register and participate in the cleanup efforts, fill out the EEG Registration Form. "We are calling on all sectors of society to join hands in this nationwide effort to protect our environment,” said EEG Chairperson Habiba Al Mar’ashi. The campaign emphasizes the importance of sustainability and encourages the use of recyclable materials. Participants will help remove waste from deserts and beaches, contributing to the country’s environmental preservation efforts. "The ‘Clean UAE’ campaign is more than just a cleanup; it’s about fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability," Al Mar’ashi added. By involving government bodies, private companies, and academic institutions, the campaign aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of pollution and the importance of conservation. Participating organizations can align their corporate social responsibility goals with this impactful initiative, promoting environmental stewardship and community engagement. "This is a cause that not only benefits our environment but also instills a sense of civic duty among volunteers," Al Mar’ashi said.
