Coronavirus in UAE: 483 new cases, 103 recoveries, 6 deaths on April 22

  DUBAI – The UAE reported 483 new cases of coronavirus or Covid-19 on Wednesday (April 22), bringing the total number of cases to 8,238. According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention, 103 more people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,546. Six patients also died on Wednesday, taking the total death toll to 52. Dr. Farida Al Hosani, spokeswoman for the UAE health sector, said that as many as 31,807 new coronavirus tests have been carried out in the country. The UAE has also started clinical trials of plasma therapy to treat Covid-19 patients and have opened several field hospitals to deal with any influx of patients. ICA/Expat Media
