Coronavirus in UAE: 571 new cases, 427 recoveries, 1 death on June 3

  DUBAI – The UAE’s total number of coronavirus cases rose to 36,359 after 571 new cases were confirmed on Wednesday (June 3). The UAE government said the number includes active cases, recovered cases and deaths. Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, official spokesperson for the UAE Government, said there are currently 16,936 people still receiving treatment for Covid-19. Also on Wednesday, 472 more people recovered from coronavirus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 19,153. Al Shamsi also announced the death of one patient on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 270. She called on the public to follow health measures as restrictions eased and businesses reopened in the UAE. "Any negligence or recklessness will lead, God forbid, to dire consequences," she warned.
